In the history of humanity, we have experienced many adversities, in the form of political turbulence, economic hardships, social injustice, environmental issues, and perhaps one of the most devastating of humanitarian tragedies, warefare. Core texts offer insights into the conceptualization of resilience and adversity in different times and places. In this conference, we will reflect upon the conceptualization of adversity and resilience by means of panels and keynote addresses.
Keynote speakers are:
Alkeline van Lenning, Dean University College Tilburg
Tessa Leesen, vice-dean University College Tilburg
Edward Brooks, Research Director Oxford Global Leadership Initiative
Jean Kwok, award-winning and bestselling author of Searching for Sylvie Lee, Girl in Translation, and Mambo in Chinatown.
Odile Heynders, Full professor Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences
