For some, learning a foreign language (besides English 🙂 is essential to LAS education, but that’s not always practiced. So let’s discuss what’s going right, wrong and otherwise in languages!
Interestingly enough, AUC just abolished the language requirement this year. The reasoning is not so clear, except that it has been increasingly difficult to hire language teachers on an ad hoc basis.
Oh — that’s “funny” since LUC just ADDED Dutch as a language (to be implemented in AY2425, IIRC), based on the government’s goal of x percent (I forgot) instruction in Dutch.
